Historical & Botanical Plantation Walk with Birdwatching
Our Historical & Botanical Plantation Walk with Birdwatching tour provides guests an opportunity to thoroughly enjoy one of St. Lucia’s most naturally beautiful and historically significant locations. Adjacent to the beach at the Jungle Reef adventure center is 400 acres which contain the remnants of an 18th century sugar plantation. This lush coastal jungle features a variety of trails and ruins from the bygone plantation days. Our trained guides will lead you on a leisurely stroll where you will learn about the tropical vegetation, history of the plantation and see and learn about a number of the island’s exotic bird species.
After the guided morning walk a variety of other activity options are available including additional walking/hiking on your own, beach relaxation, swimming and marine park snorkelling. The spacious volcanic sand beach is what tropical dreams are made of and there’s plenty of shade under the towering coconut trees for those who prefer it.
Featuring fabulous sightseeing and superb photo opportunities all along the way, the Historical & Botanical Plantation Walk with Birdwatching is an exceptional experience for participants of all ages. The tour is also a laid back option for those who wish to accompany friends and family who are joining us on one of our adventure sport tours as you will travel, enjoy lunch and lots of beach relaxation time together.
